The mysterious CariDee tries to adjust the pieces to combine the weapon again; in addition, Slimer enters with the boxes of blueprints Glenwich sketched out, and he places them under her desk. For one thing, the mysterious CariDee has trouble connecting the pieces together despite the parts not in order. She hears a knock on the door from outside, and the mysterious CariDee turns to Slimer immediately.

"Slimer, can you get the door? I'm in the middle of reconstructing the destabilizer rifle." CariDee suggested.

"Yes ma'am." Slimer saluted, for he opens the door for the lab. It was Janine Melnitz, for she drops her school bag off the stool.

"Hey CariDee, what are you doing?" Janine questioned.

"Hi Janine, I was reconstructing a kind of ghost hunting weapon Egon created during his art class with Mrs. Solistia. It seems there has been an accident at the school earlier during fourth period. Glenwich brought visitors from the New York board of education and visited his class; unfortunately, Arzun crashed their visit and attacked the principal directly. Mrs. Solistia has evacuated her class, and Egon rushed to help Glenwich but came too late. All is left of him is the destabilizer rifle shattered in pieces. Janine, I'm afraid I have some bad news. Despite the effect of the destabilizer and the beam overpowered, Principal Glenwich has disappeared to the Netherworld." CariDee reported the horrific news to Janine.

"CariDee, is this another magic trick?" Janine questioned, "are you clueless?"

"No, Glenwich had fired the destabilizer rifle, and it overpowered the beam and vaporized Glenwich even Spengler saw it with...his...own...eyes." CariDee responded telling the truth even Slimer visualized to Janine what happened by acting out the incident. Janine flusters in trepidation and bursts into tears collapsing to her knees; in addition, she covered her face from the tears pouring down her face. "Janine, listen to me. The only way to get Glenwich back is by having the boys investing $78,932 to create a new one. I'll note to Spengler about it."

"Is he alive or dead?" Janine questioned the mysterious CariDee.

"He's alive, but he's starving nearly to death. Fortunately, he packed seven purified water bottles to keep himself alive while on the travel with only one man whom he entrusted, Heironymus." CariDee responded.

"Where is he?" Janine responded.

"He's in the badlands of the netherworld." CariDee answered.

"The badlands?" she gasped in formidable terror.

"I'll note to Spengler, Venkman, Zeddemore, and Stantz after I finish this." CariDee sighed in sheer confusion.

Back at the badlands of the netherworld, Principal Glenwich travelled through the outskirts avoid being seized by the Thons. A storm emerges as Glenwich scampers to find cover. Therefore, he followed the path Heironymus to freedom.  He was weakened at that point; luckily, he survived the aftermath of the imprisonment. However, he hears the footprints coming from another encounter he witness during his everlasting travel to return to Earth and to the boys, the ones whom he has instructed for a longing. The principal bends his knees, for he starts to connect the virtual rendezvous circuits from his old proton pack, and he links to his computer system to sends in an SOS to the human world.

"Come on, computer, please contact Cari or the boys for once." Glenwich urged his computer database, for he summons a cube to build himself a dome to make food on an area where nothing burgeons, "it takes for another mission to reach me, I'm hoping Spengler and/of the other boys receive my message from the netherworld knowing I'm alive. I have to grow food on a distinct world that nothing grows."

Principal Glenwich reaches for the Hab connected from the human world, for he sets up a transmission despite the drastic measures. He coughs out a drip of saliva after backlashing against a terror dog while on his way; in addition, he sees Heironymus standing at the corner of the crate.

"Heironymus, it's you." Principal Glenwich responded.

"Jonathan, in order to survive till your students reach for their next mission to save you, all you have to do is not just grow food but get in contact with your team-mates. It's paramount to save yourself and your team from the imperial alliance, for they assemble their army to destroy the human world at its higher capacity and only you can stop them." Heironymus stated.

"Why me?" Glenwich whispered.

"Because you have the force to drive the Thons back to their keep, you and the Ghostbusters have the power to save humanity from the Ghost Apocalypse." he answered.

"Looks like I better straight things out." Glenwich responded, so he begins to create a simple machine to verify his location and wonders how he can handle it. He closes his eyes, and his spirit of technology appears among him to keep connected with his substantial equipment.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, back at the home of Mrs. Cunningham, the ghostbusters travel through the area as Peter whittles the leaves from his path. Egon, moreover, receives a message, for it came from the Principal himself. He answers the call, and Glenwich's ghost appears out of his screen in front of Egon.
"Egon, I'm here in the netherworld, and my technology is linked within the computer system of the firehouse. I've tried to reach contact with the mysterious CariDee and you four combined." his spirit called to him through Egon's mind.
You're alive. Why didn't you tell me? Egon wondered in awestruck.
"I'm saying this because I care about you and the other Ghostbusters. I'm counting on you. Remember I'm always at your side." Glenwich replied, and his spirit disappears as the photos consummate and gather to a collage with the sign saying, 'are you reading my message now?'
Egon grows into excitement when he sees the collage consummating the photos like pieces of a puzzle nearly losing his mind, "he's alive. He's alive...he's alive! He's Alive!!!!"
"Egon, with whom are you communicating?" Peter asked.
"It's principal Glenwich, he's in the badlands of the netherworld, and he's alive." Egon answered according to his phone.
"He's alive? But how?" Peter gasped in aghast.
"I'll explain after we stop Scalon." he answered, so he readies his particle thrower.
"Wait, principal Glenwich is alive? I thought he was dead." Ray responded.
"Ray, don't you remember what the mysterious CariDee said? If we get principal G back from the netherworld, we ought to find a way to stop Tolay and Janna from taking over our world." Winston responded, but Peter pauses his conversation.
"Thanks Winston, we get the point." Peter responded.
"Uh guys, what if the ghost isn't Scalon?" Ray queried.
"What?!" Peter exclaimed.
"I mean what if another ghost crawls upon her house?" he suggested to the brunette.
"preposterous, it can't be another ghost besides Scalon unless another ghost became involved in the fall out." Peter scowled, for Egon tracks down the presence of the ghost lurking nearby the area and he pauses the others knowing the ghost is near.
"Guys, I believe we found our encounter right around this area." Egon whispered.
"What?" Ray questioned, and the others shushed him, "sorry."
"Alright, when I count to three, we'll burst inside the room and zap our proton streams to catch its attention." Peter whispered, so he and the others except Egon attempting to bust the door open.
Egon pulls Peter and stated, "I don't think it's a splendid idea to break in a room such as this one."
"Egon, I know what I'm doing." Peter replied.
"Ok, if you think the ghost gives you a freezing reception, don't grouse to me about the significance unless you want to prove me wrong." Egon replied.
"Ready, on three." Peter commanded, so the others took steps back as Egon stood and watched, "one,  two, three!" Peter, Ray, and Winston bust the red door to the other room together. Egon sighs in disbelief and sidles inside the room.
"This room is empty, I mean how did we break in here if the ghost didn't show its existence?" Ray asked.
"I don't know man, this is not what we occurred and Mrs. Cunningham feels devastated because she bought this house that was there for eighty-five years." Winston answered.
"Eighty-five years, that seems like an unlucky number." Egon replied.
"Eighty-five years, what kind of house she bought? Does it contain lethal plant cells?" Peter queried, for the soil begins to tremble before the flower pot.
"Hmm, I guess we should've waited for the Blues Brothers." Ray suggested, and a ghostly, greenish, grassy, reptilian-humanoid springs out of the pot and crave for their defeat.
"I am the lieutenant in the name of Scalon. I've haunted people like Cunningham for centuries to come. Who are you and what are you up to?" the ghost queried them.
"Why have you haunt Peter and Winston's English teacher Mrs. Cunningham in her home?" Egon questioned furiously.
"You woke me when I was sleeping good! I'm mean when I'm tired." Scalon scowled, and the ghostbusters activate their proton streams to engage in their battle against the repitilian humanoid.
The fiend performs razor leaves at the boys, and Peter zaps the leaves with his proton streams. Winston moves away from the leaves heading towards him, and Peter leaps and blasts his proton bolts to weaken the figure. In addition, Egon blasts his proton streams before he sends in his a1 ghost drone to attack using the exact proton streams he assigned. Scalon's depletes its leaves as it rolls its body to strike the boys like a bowling ball in the bowling alley. Ray darts away from Scalon as he quickly shoots at it with his Ectoplasma cannon deluxe 3000; in addition, the humanoid shifts to the other end as it generates another round of leaves and sends them from its body, and it's color changes to aquatic green. Peter blasts it as Scalon changes to its final variation; on the contrary, Scalon grows berserk and rolls its body to expunge the boys, but Egon's a1 ghost drone saves the day by blasting its streams to finish the ghost off. Scalon frowns despite the psychokinetic damage the boys left, and the halo appears around its head and floats upward.
Its eye sockets pop out as it screeched, "you will not see the end of me, Ghostbusters. I'll get you for this if it's the last thing I do!" Peter kicks the eyeball away from him in sheer disgust.
"Woohoo hoo! Nice work, guys." Ray grinned, sweeping the ghostly residue from his gloves.
"I'm glad all of this is over." Peter replied, for he, Winston, and Ray approach to Egon for simple revelation of the first piece.
"We have to figure out why the first clue of this replica means. This must be what we've been looking for. Janna has left one of those at the den right where we are." Egon responded, and his PKE meter detects if everything in the house clears away from the profound evil of the goddess of death and destruction. He studies the rough texture of the first replica.
"Is this a shatter piece of stone?" Winston guessed.
"It's not just a stone, it's a tablet." Ray replied, studying the texture along with the effects of the earthquake when the remaining pieces forge altogether.
"A tablet?" Winston questioned.
"Looks like there's going to be new lieutenants. It's for the worst." Ray stated.
"If that Janna thinks we're cowards with a trauma of affairs, then we'll give her cowardice." Peter stated to the others.
"Cowardice?" Winston responded.
"Ok, look you guys, if we're able to collect the pieces of the tablet, we must battle every last lieutenant of Janna." Egon responded.
"Anyways, this area is clear. Let's get out of here before Janna or Tolay realized we're here." Peter stated, so he and the other ghostbusters exit to the front door of the house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Outside of the house, Mrs. Cunningham prays for their survival from the aftermath. Conrad Cunningham, her husband, appears with a beige paper bag with the groceries inside after hours of paying with a debit card. He exits from his cinnabar Ford Fusion car. His hair is a greasy, combed, grayish brunette short hair, he has ivory white skin matching his wife's, he wears wrap glasses, he wears a baby blue shirt underneath his white t-shirt, he wears navy blue cargo pants, and he wears white sneakers.

"Rebecca," Conrad called his wife?

"Conrad," Mrs. Cunningham cried fearfully, cuddling her husband, "when I came home from work, I saw ghosts. Ghosts, ghosts, everywhere."

"Ghosts? Preposterous, there are no such thing as....." Conrad disagreed, and the doors unlock as they creak in drawing the attention of the husband, "show yourself ghost or your days will be numbered in my predicament." Mr. Cunningham draws out his golf club from his Ford Fusion car, and he steps forward to the front door of the house gripping his club.

"Boo!" someone pops out from the front door hollered, and it was a joyful Ray exiting from the house, "hey Mr. Cunningham. Scared you, huh?"

"And you are?" he questioned, and Winston, Peter, and Egon appear next to Ray with their particle throwers in hand.

"ghostbusters," Egon answered with an endearing grin even Peter lifts gravely his right arm to reveal to Mr. Cunningham the ghost inside the trap.

"There, we caught the ghost that causes all your troubles, Mrs. C," Peter stated, "so, you're welcome. Huh?"

"I promise to change your grade to an A in your report card, Venkman. Winston, did you encourage him to do his work?" Mrs. Cunningham inquired.

"Already have, Mrs. C. Isn't that right, Venkman?" Winston scowled.

"Right," Peter sighed in disbelief raising his right arm and lowering his head.

"Thank you very much! This is a token of my gratitude. Now I can sleep soundly." Mrs. Cunningham cried joyfully.

"How much is it for you kids for capturing the ghost?" Mr. Cunningham questioned, checking his wallet.

"That'll be $2080 for catching the class level 1 ghosts, $1000 for the first ghost, and another $1000 for catching the bad boy, so your total is $4080." Ray answered.

"Nooooooooooooooooooooo!" Mr. Cunningham screamed in fear.

Imagine how much Mr. Cunningham who owe, if the Ghostbusters charged by the hour? Would it be a good thing?

Looking forward to Chapter 4.
